About us

Hyperloop Hoops is run by Lynne and Jon, with a little help from their friends.

Skully!

Lynne

That’s me. I started hooping in 2005, on a trip to Ireland with some good friends. We had gone to Tara to spin fire poi and staffs and see the beauty of the place before it was ruined by the building of a bypass in the valley below the site. A friend, Molly, brought two large adult hoops with her. I had a go at wiggling one and was basically hooked. I came home and set about making myself a hoop. The obsession with hooping just carried on from there. People kept asking me where I got my hoop from and then asking me to make them one too. I now spend my time spreading the love of the wiggle and handcrafting hoops.

Jon

Without Jon this site wouldn’t be here. He was the driving force behind creating it and he worked hard in setting it up. Not only is he talented in the computer department he is also an amazingly talented poi, staff and hoop manipulator. Add to those talents uni-cycling, juggling, tent erecting, and tea making and you pretty much have the perfect package in one body.

Friends and Family that made this all possible
Mech!

Mech

Mech is a ball of crazy filled loveliness. He was first person we went to with our numerous questions about setting up this site. He has been very, very patient with us asking him so many different things, and has given us so much support and love. Thank you Gorgeous! Mech also took the majority of pictures on this site. We decline to comment on those glasses.

Mech, we love you!
Fraser!

Fraser

Fraser was the last addition to the site building team, and his presence cannot be over estimated. Without him, this site really would not be here. We are totally flabbergasted by the amount of time, hard work and dedication he has put into this project, it truely astounds us. When we are rich and famous, your generosity will not be forgotten!

Fraser, we love you!

Cath club juggling

Cath

The lovely Cath is Lynne's long suffering sister, who has helped us in so many ways over the years. Not least in transporting us and a large number of our hoops to venues. She always picks us up when we are down, brushes us off and sets us back on the right road.

Thank you Cath. We love you loads!
Hannah hooping

Hannah

Hannah is our niece and Hyperloop Hoops most gorgeous banner girl. She has so many talents it would take an age to list them all. Her stunning Wiggling style is a joy to watch.

We love you dearly Hannah!
Beccie

Beccie

Beccie stars in some of the pictures on this site. She is another one of our beautiful brainy nieces. She makes hooping look so effortless and brings her own style and glamour to the World of Wiggling.

Bec, we love you loads!

Gayle

Gayle

Some years ago we met Gayle through the website Home of Poi. She became a firm friend from the first moment we met her. After a long chat on MSN one day we decided that she would make poi and we would make hoops under the name of Hyperloop. She set up the Hyperloop.co.uk website and kindly hosted our hoops there for a while. Due to the Love of the Wiggle spreading so fast we decided we needed our own site and that is when the idea of this site was born.

Thank you for all the love and support Gayle. You are most dear to our hearts.
Jo Hooping

Jo

Jo-Jo is another person we met on Home of Poi. She stars in some of the pictures on this site and is the beautiful, curvy body behind the hoops that greet you when you open the Shop. Her talents include baking, making cards, singing, playing guitar and a whole host of other things. A better friend you’d be hard pressed to find.

Love you gorgeous lady!
Marvelous Molly

Molly

Molly is the lady that introduced us to large adult sized hula hoops. She started our love of the Wiggle. She is a most fantabulous wiggler and has a wiggling husband to share her passion.

Thank you Wiggletastic lady!
Our beautiful hindrances
Weapon X typing.

Weapon X

This is our ever so helpful kitty called Weapon X. He tries to help us run the website. If you start to see a few typo's and spelling mistakes, it's probably down to him because typing with paws is very hard. The keys on the keyboard are just too tiny for him.

Widget after a hard day hoop making.

Widget

This is our other naughty little cat, Widget. He likes to chill out after a hard day hoop making on our giant bean bag. This picture makes him look like he has very, very short legs but rest assured he has regular kitty length legs. Regular length cat legs are however still a little too short for making hoops so he has to stand on a box.
